A Warm Welcome

Greetings from the Stone Mountain Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated! On behalf of our chapter, it is my sincere honor and privilege to welcome you to our website.

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2-19. We are dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by supporting children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty. The Spectacular Stone Mountain Chapter was chartered in 1986 by nine dynamic women seeking to continue the rich legacy of Jack and Jill with their children. Today, we have 90+ members who are industry and community leaders: educators, psychologists, physicians, judges, entrepreneurs, executives, scientists, lawyers, and any other professions you imagine. Most importantly, we are mothers implementing strong programming towards building tomorrow’s leaders.

Since our founding in 1986, in the Sweet, Sweet Southeastern Region, the Stone Mountain Chapter has continuously demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the objectives of our beloved Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. I am honored to serve as the 17th president of the Stone Mountain Chapter. As we embark on our 38th year of spectacular service across DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, and Henry counties, we continue “Elevating Through Excellence: Empowering our Children, Families and Community.”

I am elated to serve and contribute to Jack and Jill’s extensive, illustrious history. I am excited that you are interested in learning about the Spectacular Stone Mountain Chapter. Enjoy your glimpse into our chapter and our esteemed organization!

Long Live Jack and Jill,

Melvina Norwood, PhD

17th Chapter President
